Alec Posner Intro to IR 10/23/14 Religious Nationalism in India In the previous discussion we talked about religion and the role it plays in  international relations.  This week allowed me to see a specific example of a nation and  how religion comes into play.  In India, tensions rise between Hindus and Muslims.   These two religions strive to be the dominant religion of India.  The first documentary  talked about the heating conflict between the two groups.  In an Indian province, violence has drastically increased and the documentary talks about the massacres and violence that took place.  One article discussed the newly elected prime minister who took the election  by storm.  The article describes how some countries feel about the prime minister and  also discusses his proposed policies and Hindu nationalism.  The following article also  discussed Modi and the shift in Indian politics.  The article touched on the recent impacts  of India in world politics.  The last source was a documentary, which discussed beauty  pageants in India.  This documentary was about Indian women competing for Miss  World.  All of these sources help show religion in India and the role it plays.  The first documentary, “The Soul of India”, was critical in understanding the  initial situation in India.  The documentary works to show the increasing power of the  Hindu nationalist movement.  Since India gained independence in 1947, religion has  always been a topic.  Muslims and Hindus continue to clash to this day.  The film also

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
