Week 7 Disccussion Board Forum-Textbook Synopsis and Critique.docx

After reading Glickman, Gordon, & Ross-Gordon textbook, I found chapter one and the video
that went along with the lesson in week one. I found that chapter interesting because it opened
my eyes and mindset about being a leader. Before I started this course, I thought I was a good
leader but overall, I have been a terrible leader even when I’m not around those I’m leading. This
chapter was interesting because it will make you re-evaluate who you are as a leader and what it
takes to become a successful supervisor and it makes you look at how you should integrate faith
into our leadership performance. This book has helped me meet my original professional
development goal for this course because it helped me get a better understanding on what it takes
to become effective leader in your school. Also, this book reminded myself that I need to be
opened to constantly improving my leadership skills for the better of myself and for everyone
