EG 11 - 4844 8 January 2007 College Living Arrangements Living at home with your family and living away at college, are two completely different lifestyles. While at home, you have family members to help you. In a dormitory, no one looks after your wellbeing. In this essay I will compare and contrast living at home for college and living on a college campus. While living at home, you have the support system of your family available. Since you haven’t moved out, everything you own is accessible to you, at all times. Food is never a problem, when you live with three or four other people. Living at home also means you’ll have a bigger living space, than those on campus. Keeping a car and possibly a high school job are also easy. Living at college can be a new and exciting experience. When living in a dormitory environment you are presented with opportunities to make new friends. While living in a dorm, you become more independent and mature. You need to clean, do laundry, get food, and schedule your days accordingly. Although this can be extremely
