Shawn Pennington 2-2-8 Discussion 1 There seems to be a common theme throughout the sections of the books we have read thus far for this class. The most obvious one I feel exists is the way in which the authors of the books portray the persons they are writing about. It appears that these people are obviously important participants and may have even gone as far as helping to mold or change the face of British Government. Though there may be varying opinions on just how important or successful these few people were in the history of British Government, I think after reading these few chapters it’s clear that they were a definite influence on the progress and state of British Government. Take queen Victoria for example, in the sections of this book we have read thus far, we get a good idea of the way Victoria was not only raised, but the societal and other outside entities that not only effected her life, but helped to make her the strong willed prominent figure she turned out to be in British Government. We are given a front row seat to a show that reveals many different sides of the once timid young lady who is now
