7.4 NC Geological History As you read the article about North Carolina’s geological past, you will answer the following questions. The rocks in Greenland are believed to be 3,800 million years old. The rocks change by heat and pressure. It only occurs in the existence of water. That would mean that when these rocks were there the ocean toalready have to exist. 8.In your own words, describe what the climate was like in the distant past? Depending on where you were it could have been either hot or cold. But during the ice age there were glaciers so it had to been really cold. 9.In your own words, describe how we know when certain types of plants andanimals appeared?
