Mike Rosenbloom ENG 140 Professor Blackwell 12-10-07 Please Stay For one of my out of class events, I went to the short play Please Stay, written by a student John Brink. I found the play very interesting, and at the same time, awfully weird. It was about a girl and a guy (honestly I can’t remember their names, sorry) who were both interested in each other. The guy threw a party at his place, and needed help cleaning up the next morning. She volunteered to stay and help out. Another girl who also slept over claimed it was because she wanted him. It turned it, she did. The rest of the play focuses on these two, and how they continually start hooking up and stop because the girl says that they can’t because she doesn’t deserve him. In the end, it was shown that the girl was once in a relationship where she was unfaithful and caused the guy unless amounts of depression and anger. That is why she believes she isn’t worthy of this guy. He keeps saying “please stay!” every time she goes to leave, hence the name of
