DEVRY UNIVERSITY ONLINE PSYCHOLOGY 315 SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY Homework Assignment Week 3 (60 Marks) Behaviour and Attitudes: Abu-Ghraib And The Stanford Prison Experiment 6 Using a controversial topic such as abortion, analyze the effects that social influences may  have on attitudes and how these attitudes are formed, measured, and changed. The events at Abu-Ghraib Prison in Iraq in 2004 are clearly controversial and we will turn  our attention to the social influences on attitudes in that context.   Process: 1. In the 1970s social psychologist Phillip Zimbardo conducted a simulation of  prison life to examine role playing behavior using students in the roles of  prison guards and prisoners.  This study became known as the Stanford  Prison Experiment, which Myers describes on pages 142 and 143.   2.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
