Laboratory ManualChemistry of Oil and Gas4IntroductionChemistry of oil and gas is a discipline that provides an understanding ofthe chemical composition and properties of petroleum (crude oil and gas),and gives knowledge of petroleum products and alternative fuels.The course will review chemical basis for the most important processesused in oil refining and addresses to the physical and chemical properties ofoil and gas, methods of fractionation and analysis.The objectives of this laboratory manual is to educate students to analyzehydrocarbon mixtures by physicochemical methods, improve the practicalskills and ability during the work with appropriate instruments, laboratoryapparatus, installations and electronic programs to determine and analyzephysical properties and quality of oil products.
