Derek Gray Ms. Mitchell Essay number 2 Racism - The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others. (Dictionary.com/racism) When being introduced to someone and all one can think is, this guy is black thus meaning that he cannot be trusted; this mean that one has a bad racist problem. . Being Racist causes one to close their mind just because someone is a different race than one’s self whether a Caucasian treating a different race unjust or just the opposite. In both, John Leo’s “Fu Manchu Naboo” and David Carr’s “On Cover of Many magazines, a full Racial Palette Is Still Rare,” we find that racism has not just stopped at being mean or being violent towards a different race but the fact that it has seeped into our media. Movies, newspapers, magazines and video and all other types of media not only show racist attitude but it teaches us to become racist ourselves. Now it may not stand but when you look for it and pay attention it will stick out like a sore thumb. Both articles show how the media has been so creative in feeding us, the people of the world, racism
