I would like to write on what is known as the Marlowe Theory. This is the idea that Christopher Marlowe was not an actual person, but perhaps a person who William Shakespeare created as a pseudonym of sorts. I want to take a deeper look at what little is known about the life and death of Marlowe and compare it to that of Shakespeare and see what similarities are between the two. Then I might be able to discover the root of this theory and how it may have come about. During my research I have found that Marlowe autographs under another name, Cristofer Marley, which perhaps is where some of this all comes from. If people have multiple names it can get confusing and people get mixed up, especially when only bits and pieces of history exists on that time period in history as well. There is a lot of different theories as to other people who might be Shakespeare, but I specifically wanted to concentrate on Marlowe because they were born the same year and because Marlowe was a real "bad boy", if you will. He was a spy for the Queen
