VARK ANALYSIS PAPER2In 1987 a questionnaire called The VARK System was developed to evaluate learning styles and also provide helpful strategies based on learning preference (The VARK Modalities, 2015). VARK is an acronym that encompasses the four main learning styles, which include visual, aural, read/write, kinesthetic. In further detail a summary of individual VARK results, preferred learning strategies compared to the identified strategies of preferred learning style and awareness of learning styles influence on teaching and learning.Learning Style SummaryAfter taking the VARK questionnaire, individual results indicated a multimodal learning preference of VAK, indicating learning is best through visual, aural and kinesthetic strategies. With further breakdown of individual learning mode scores indicating kinesthetic as strongest with a score of a 9, visual and aural were equal with score of a 7 and read/write was least with a score of a 4. A multimodal learning is a mixture of the learning preferences, meaning individual may not have one specific learning mode that stands far from the rest. Multimodal learners tend to use different learning modes or a combination of a couple, based on what is being learned, to really learn the information (Multimodal Strategies, 2015). Preferred Learning Strategies Compared to the Identified Strategies of Preferred Learning StyleA kinesthetic learner uses past practical experience, examples and senses (Kinesthetic Strategies, 2015). Learners with this preference learn best from doing something like a task or a
