Name:  Mahanaim Peterson Subject:  Week 1 Lab 1 Section:  Math221 Date: May 6, 2007 Part 1 Page 28    Exercises 1-3 Ex. 1 – a) I would use the stratified sample technique because each  segment of the population will be represented.   b) Yes, this technique will represent each segment.  It will also  allow for the researchers to look into certain groups.  They specifically  wanted to know what were the thoughts of a certain age group.             c) The best way to collect data from the readers would be to  do a survey.  Researchers could send the survey by mail separate or  inserted into the publication.     d) This study could be biases toward adults and a possible  flaw is that the survey will not reach the readers or the reader does  not return the survey.
