Unformatted text preview: It’s interesting to me that when the subject of prostitution is addressed by a group of people, everyone will have a slightly differentiating opinion about what the subject really is. In the reading the articles for this weeks class, I felt that the theme was about how prostitution is very multi-dimensional practice. How many people feel that prostitution is an extremely black and white topic, you are either for it or against it, there is no middle ground. There are many circumstances that effect prostitutes and their profession, not all of them as obvious as it may seem. Opinions on a topic such as this are meant to span the continuum and in order to see all sides, we must take into consideration all the opinions presented. Both Richard Weitzer and the Barbara article took more positive views about prostitution. While Weitzer reported information on the positives and negatives of prostitution, I feel that he was much more positive in his statements and commented that there isn’t truly a black and white to this subject, and to be of...
