Question 1.Organisation of human resources is achieved through Ulrich Model. Technologicaladvancements have led to lesser requirements and in this case, following are the suggested planof action –1.Administrative expert – Administrators are pivotal to the efficiency of all HR practices inan organisation. Day to day operations, database management, etc. are the primaryresponsibilities of the administration. An administrative expert has to provide criticalinformation using which the administration decides on the people to retain and to let go.Such decisions should be made while keeping in mind the technological implications.2.Change Agent – This person is responsible for communicating internal organizationalchanges. He plays a major role in deciding which technological method to adapt. He issupposed to give inputs on his subordinates, help conduct training programs for currentemployees with the aim of reskilling and upskilling, create orientation plans for newlyrecruited people, etc. His input is a deciding factor in the retention of employees.3.Employee Champion – These people have complete knowledge about the interest ofemployees and protect them from any unethical practice. In the light of the given casewhere less than 25% workforce is required, firstly job security of the current employeesshould be sought after so as to boost job satisfaction amongst the employees, followed byimplementation of new technology and lastly maintaining the work culture for all.4.Business Partner – These people bring employees on the same page as the businessobjectives and also advise the management on issue related to HR. These people shouldbe very proficient in communication as they are the intermediaries, the channels whichare more often than not used by employees to communicate with HR department. Thesepeople truly understand the employees and help in deciding the right person for the rightjob. Feedback on internal customers can also be given by them.Question 2.As per the given case, there is a need to hire the most suitable candidates for the job as there is adire need of qualified marketing personnel in the labor market in order for Leo Ink to get out ofthe current low profit situation. This can be achieved by the following methods –1.Offer higher salaries – incentivize skilled and qualified personnel with better salaries sothat they come and work for Leo Ink.
2.Outsourcing – Leo Ink can take the help of an organisation which specializes inmarketing domain to cut down on costs and reduce resource wastage in the form of time,human labor, etc.
