Sharon WangSociology 15010/21/2015Field Report 2A. As an intentional observer and data-gatherer, I was sure to have my questions ready and be prepared to record my findings. I have modified my area of study from the first report, and have decided to do my investigation on the effect that Main Stacks Dance Team has on its dancers. It was relatively simple for me to announce my purpose to the relevant actors, since they are my teammates and I see them almost every day or have means of contacting them easily through social media. Most of my teammates had no problems responding to my purposes, but some of them refrained from answering a few questions because they did not want the directors of Main Stacks to hear their answers. These were the only roadblocks I encountered, even though I had expected more, such as not being able to contact some teammates or not having enough time to complete my research. I coped with the abstaining individuals by assuring them that their responses would not be revealed to the directors and that their names would remain completely anonymous. B. My study setting will be at Haas Pavilion, where Main Stacks practices. I will conduct my observations before and after practice. The principle social actors are the dancers on the team. The purpose of people coming together at my study site is because it is mandatory for them to attend practices. They interact with other dancers physically, but
