ALS 101 Detective Assignment #2 Career Exploration Due: Monday, October 15, 2007 There are still several fields that I would like to look into. As of right now, I am not certain about what career path I plan on taking after I graduate. One field that I am particularly interested is marketing. I am planning on either holding a minor or a concentration in the department of Applied Economics and Management. I figure that having a good amount of knowledge in this field will help me with a career in marketing, which is a large part business. Understanding the business aspect of marketing would be a great asset to me. Also, I would like to go to graduate school to possibly get my masters in business once I am done here at Cornell. If I have already studied some aspects of business, through the Applied Economics and Management Department here at Cornell, I will be better prepared for my future studies. I have also spent a great deal of time looking at internships through the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences’ career development offices. Since I live on Long Island, I am very close to New York City. There are so many great opportunities for internships and summer jobs available in New York City through the CALS career development office. I have been looking into several internships with radio stations, one with Sony, one with the NBA, and many others.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
