Mike Duncan Log 2 This article covers the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This foundation has just announced a one hundred million dollar fund to help create new approaches to health care. Bill Gates started this foundation and it is now worth about thirty five billion dollars and will soon double once Warren Buffett donates the thirty one million dollars he has pledged. Bill Gates is doing amazing things with his money, such as dealing with AIDS prevention in Africa. There have already been two failures in AIDS prevention drugs, but the foundation has high hopes for future tests. Bill Gates has done an extremely noble thing by creating this foundation. He has a ridiculous amount of money, and instead of being a miser it all he decided to start up the world’s largest private charity. This money will go to help solve the problems of the

This incredible feat will also inspire other multi-billionaires (Warren Buffett) to also give a percentage of their fortune to this foundation to solve world issues. If this charity can succeed where others have failed, then the public’s perception of charities will undoubtedly change. People will start to donate to these private charities instead of ones set up by the government. This way the government’s political issues with another country will not get in the way of helping its citizens.
