Opinion was that Aristotle was a spy for the Macedonian government and that is why he was there for so long. Everyone in Athens who knew him thought that’s what he was doing. Just as the academy was a gymnasium, the lyceum was another gymnasium. Lyceum is the first think tank the west. Grown men there to do research. Its very sophisticated and imperial.
