1.What are Joseph E Harris's principal claims in his article "A Tradition of Myths and Sterotypes"? Throughout history, those outside of Africa have created falsified information or claimed a lack of information on the history and culture of Africa. Africa has been gravely mistreated throughout history, and the availability of their own history has suffered due to these untrue statements. He also claims that Europeans have created myths and stereotypes to support their treatment of the black culture as a whole. If Europeans can distance themselves from Africans, they can treat them as less human. 2In History, according to Harris when did these mystification (or is it mythification) and stereotyping start?
