These school first emerged as schools of Roman Catholic Churches -In Medieval time society was not stable enough for universities -Because of that monasteries sometimes maintained school -Early scholars got there crap from the bible -In the 11 th century economic and resource development lead the bishops to start to organize schools in their cathedrals -Well known scholars were known as Master Teachers -In the late 12 th century Cathedrals had a formal curriculum -Faculty Guild- was an association of teacher that petitioned higher authority so they could have their curriculum -By doing that they turned their schools into universities -University of Paris of one of the first ones -In the 13 th century the number of universities rose Re discovery of the works of Aristotle -Most of his work was not in latin and took place during the high medieval times
