Solution: (a) P = (s1 ' · s0 ' ) · (A + B + C) + (s1 ' · s0 ) · (A · B · C ) ' + (s1 ' · s0 ' ) · (A B C ) + (s1 · s0 ) · (A B C ) ' = (s1 ' · s0 ' ) · (A + B + C) + (s1 ' · s0 ) · (A' + B ' + C ' ) + (s1 ' · s0 ' ) · (A B C ) + (s1 · s0 ) · (A B C ) ' = Σ ( 3 products ) + Σ ( 3 products ) + Σ ( 4 products ) + Σ ( 4 products ) = Σ ( 14 products ) (b) Q is a similar expression, but with D, E, F instead of A, B, C.
