Neal Johnson Dialogue I Friday, May 8, 2009 Murder The dictionary defines murder as “the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another . This is a planned event , that usually entails using a gun to shoot a person, or using something to stop another ’s breathing so they die. Murder is a deviant because there are laws against it , and because it is the ultimate wrong you can do to another person . This deviates from the norm which is : the right of a person to de- termine his or her own fate . Also it is going against the norm that says one person should not cause harm to another person . The value of a person life is being questioned here

Unformatted text preview: . Just because someone does wrong to you , does that give you the right to disregard their value to all those who care for him or her . The person who is murdered has definitely had their norms violated . Also all the family , friends , neighbors, and people watching on the news are affected by the murder and have been violated too . I think that murder is a deviant because of social power . There are laws set up by our government to protect people from it . Murder is not an imposed deviant by any means though. It has always been frowned upon to take the life of another person ....
