Neal Johnson Sociology Bare Monday, May 11, 2009 Homework 1: Culture Analysis Monday I observed and took notes on my cell biology class. I meet in this group regularly every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:15 a.m. People come to class to learn more in the field of biology. Because the students are all there to learn first and have a second priority to socialize, the class is quiet when the teacher is explaining something. There is very little interaction between the students. If there is a break from the note taking, then the students will usually start talking amongst them self's. To be a member of this group you first have to enroll in the course at the student offices building on campus. Once you are all signed up you can attend the class. There are many norms in this group. The first norm that came to my attention was the fact that the teacher is the one always talking and the students are furiously writing down the teachers words.
