You will be able to access the digital content for this course, Mastering Nutrition, through Blackboard on the first day of class automatically. $87.99 will be charged to your student account on September 11, 2015 for the cost of the digital course materials. Optional Materials: There is an optional print component available at The Mizzou Store for $60.00 which includes a print version of the Nutrition and You textbook and additional print resources. That is entirely optional; you will be able to complete all required assignments using the digital materials you automatically have access to by being enrolled in the course. Click on Mastering Nutrition on the left hand sidebar menu to go to the Mastering Nutrition website. Expectations The NS1034 teaching team expects that each student earn the grade they wish to achieve and take responsibility for your all work and actions. Students may expect that the NS1034 teaching team will be fair, consistent, instructional and available to you in person during office hours and by email. A minimum of 24 hours response time may be expected on email communications. Hybrid Course It is the intent of this course to have activities in class (lecture, videos, exams) and activities on line. Both sets of activities are required and you will not earn a passing grade without participating in both parts of the course. You are expected to attend lectures and additionally you will have online activities to complete using the NEP 1034 Blackboard course webpage and the Pearson Mastering Nutrition website. In Class Participation Class Participation will be an integral part of your in class experiences. The NEP 1034 teaching team expects that you will be in class on a regular basis. That means that you will also need to arrive on time, stay until the end of class, and be respectful to the instructors, teaching assistants, and fellow students . There will also be unannounced in-class quizzes throughout the semester.
