Unformatted text preview: Robert C Brown Jr. Legl 215 Professor James B Arsenault September 25, 2007 Atlantic Cape Community Colleges policies about substance use and testing in the workplace Professor Arsenault, I am an employee and student of ACCC, there are 2 types of drug-free policies that apply to me but since the assignment asked for employee policy, thats the one I have given. ACCC does not have a workplace drug testing policy for employees; however, as a condition of employment, a Drug-Free Workplace Statement has to be signed. This statement is based on the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988. It notifies employees that the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession, or use of a controlled substances is prohibited and it also specifies the actions that will be taken against employees for violations of such prohibition.
