Nicole Rabe MComm 320 – Summer 2007 In-class writing assignment My College Adventure I began my excruciating journey of college the summer after high school graduation in 2004. I was determined to be on my own with no rules, no parents, and no responsibility, and just as the majority of college freshman, I had no major. I moved down to Provo, Utah, my car barely off the ground, piled high with everything I could possibly need and much more. I registered to take 18 credits at UVSC and away I began. My first semester was a little more challenging than I expected; I actually had to wake up on my own and decide if I really wanted to go to class or not. But, I soon adjusted and squeaked by my first college semester with a 4.0. Yet, I still had not decided my career goals; hence no major. During Christmas break, figuring out my future endeavors was the plan. I got advice from all the wrong people--everyone but myself.
