Facility Flute Recital As I took my seat in Souers Recital Hall I looked around and it was like I had never been in the room before. The atmosphere was a completely different setting: the projector was raised, the audience was different, the lights were dim, and everyone was real quiet. The audience was very diverse; half the people were college students and half of the people appeared to be regulars. Before the concert everyone sat quiet in their seats and read the program. The program was set up in two parts, the first part listed the music and the second showed who would be performing it. The second part gave a very descriptive biography on each of the performers. The main performer was Sharon Tilbury Winton and she currently is a visiting professor of flute at Miami University. She is a very established musical artist performing in multiple symphonies and as a soloist in “The Presidents Own” United States Marine Band. Watching her perform was amazing because of the versatility of her fingers playing numerous notes, both high and low, in a matter of seconds. As she preformed she showed her dedication to the music as she moved her body with every note she was
