Unformatted text preview: Globalization What is Globalization? • How technology is expanding and because of this the world is shrinking. • I think that globalization is the ongoing process in which people of the world are being unified into a single society. I believe that a main proponent of globalization is technology and because of it the economic aspect changes. Thomas Friedman is a proponent of Globalization and he talks about how the economic playing field is being leveled as a result of this technological boost. • Another main aspect of globalization is outsourcing, which I believe is the most controversial aspect about globalization. Many corporations around the world are outsourcing many jobs to other countries, and this can take many forms. Companies outsource many customer support centers to India where they will answer calls for a few dollars a day. They also outsource many manufacturing plants and get cheap labor that way too....
