Myles Becker English 1310 November 14, 2006 America the Lone Crusader for Democracy I like to think that every person in America has the right, and the privilege, to feel safe in their own home. We wake up and we know that no matter what the trains will run on time and that the mail will be delivered. These are the luxuries that we all experience because we are citizens of the United States. There are many countries in the world that do not have that security of knowing that everyday they wake up will be a safe, and socially secure day. It is a luxury that during elections we have the right to elect our own leaders that will represent us and that the American people’s voices will be heard in the government that is sworn to protect them. After the Second World War and the collapse of the Soviet Union and the Communistic values that they held. It was clear that America was the supreme power on the globe. Not only economically but militaristically it stood alone with no equal on the globe. It became evident that America would be come the lone crusader for democracy in
