GROUP 5 The machine in the packaging lab is manufactured by Thermo Ramsey, and is an  AC-400.   The function of the metal detector machine is to find rejects according to  length, weight, whether it has metal or not.  It doesn’t package anything, but instead  detects defaults before or after it is packaged.  The metal detector in our packaging lab  has a speed capability of 50-300 ft per minute.  The rate of the machine can detect and  run 300 products per minute; working with this machine in a normal 8 hour work day will  give you the opportunity to see 144,000 products ran through (that is if no occurring  problems arise).  The only utilities needed to run this operation is compressed air which  are 110 volts and a plug in.    If you do need to make any changes within the products you run through, the  machine can accommodate these changes.  If you adjust the different dimensions and
