The crime I will be identifying for this week's discussion 1 is the premeditated school shootingon Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at the Oxford High School in Michigan. The identified shooterwas 15- year-old Ethan Crumbley, who used a shotgun to kill four students and injured sixothers. A teacher also suffered minor injuries during the unexpected event. Officials announcedthat Ethan shot at people in the school hallway, in which he fired more than 30 rounds ofammunition at students and through classroom doors.Based on prior social media posts, text messages, and disturbing behaviors, it was clear that theoffender committed the crime with intent. Ethan made a social media post and wrote in hisjournal that he would bring the gun to school on that day (Choiniere, 2021).
