Youmans 1 Roger Youmans Jr. Intro to Physical Education Career Paper Professor Lowden Growing up, people never really know what they want to choose as their career. For me I thought I knew what I wanted to be after I finished the 7 th grade. The career path I wanted to go towards was becoming a teacher. This all happened because of my social studies teacher in 7 th grade was really nice to me and I saw him as the coolest guy ever. He helped out with the varsity hockey team that I was already associated with. Although I didn’t play that year being so low on the totem pole, he always kept my head up high as he knew my potential as a athlete and as well as a student. I was sarcastic and a teachers pain in the butt for most my classes until I went to his. It wasn’t until high school when I realized I really could not give students my best being a social studies or a history teacher. I was good at the subject but my main strength was athletics and fitness. I then had a physical education teacher that had the same effect on me as my 7 th grade social studies teacher. This guy was great and not only did he make me want to become a physical education teacher, he also made me want to become a principal of a school some day because that is what he has done for himself. Being that my old physical education teacher is now hard to get a hold of I had to go
