Hey All,
Creating an environment that supports developmental milestones if important because children are like
sponges, and they absorb all sorts of information. Thus, it is important to have knowledge of those
milestones with my 30 years now of experience knowledge to those milestones is is key to helping my
students meet their needs for the better education. Knowing milestones helps me to set up the
classroom in a way that will be developmentally appropriate. Also, it helps in selecting the appropriate
toys and activities for my classroom to help the develop the skills necessary for their next milestone.
Based on the information I have read, there are three strategies I like to use to help children feel that
they are valuable and capable in my classroom. One would be to keep a positive learning environment
and make sure that every child feels that they are valuable and capable. Second, I would make sure that
there is enough spacing in the classroom and that it is clearly identified. This allow the children to be
more engaged when it comes to having them do classroom chores. They will feel important to the areas
and will allow them to look back at their accomplishment. Third would giving the children the
