In this discussion we will talk about project-based and non-project-based organizations. Areas of discussion on this topic will be: what are the generalized differences, communication variations, challenges that project managers might face, and how those challenges will be dealt with. What is the difference between project-based and non-project-based organizations?Project based organizations will have a company breakdown into teams based on departments. Each department will have a single project manager to oversee the projects to its completion. The department may contain employees with different job titles, but they’re all important to the project, and would require their skills for completion of the project. This organization will most likely have several teams working at once, but their communication to each other wouldn’t be vital for completing the project.
