Unformatted text preview: Ryan OHearn Chemical Principles I I Lab - 1011.206.43 Lab #4: Kinetics of Reaction between Oxalic Acid and Potassium Permanganate: The Arrhenius Equation 22:39:25 Pu rpose Just like in the previous lab, we are trying to find how the dependency of some factor on the rate of reaction between potassium permanganate (KMnO 4 ) and oxalic acid (H 2 C 2 O 4 ). Instead of varying the concentrations of oxalic acid, water, and potassium permanganate, we are going to vary the temperature of the liquids in order to see how this affects the rate of reaction.
