They later followedBismarck’s call to nationhood based upon their common German language and sharedculture. This included their heritage of victories and failures built into their history andmyth, dating back to the Roman Empire. The United States on the other hand is comprised of many different cultures, includingrace, language, various heritage, income levels, etc. But we consider ourselves anation too, despite our diversity.
