Lancer Production Event: The Hypnotist Philip Kada The lancer production event I went to was a hypnotist named Kevin Hurley. He had previous performances on television and “hypnotized” Bill Clinton once. The reason I attended this event was because it was free and also that I had never in my life seen hypnotism in real life. What I learned from this event was that hypnotism is really a suggestive process which not all people are susceptive to. Hurley said that one hour of being hypnotized was equal to 4 hours of sleep. Unformatted text preview: made them do hilarious acts. He made them cold, hot, have wedgies, and dance. My particular favorite was that whenever he touched my roommate John, he would wake up and say, Kevin I need a band aid!. The hypnotist would give him a band aid and he would put it on. I enjoyed the show so much because it was so funny and I wish I had volunteered to be hypnotized. I would most definitely recommend this show to other students and I hope Lancer Productions host Kevin Hurley again next year....
