ABSTRACT
The impact of covid-19 on students in
Magsaysay College Misamis Oriental: New Normal Classes
This study aimed to find out the impact of covid-19 on students in Magsaysay College. The study
used a descriptive statically treatment which is the Weighted Mean to gathered and analyse
data properly. The respondents consisted of thirty (30) students. A questionnaire checklist was
used in the survey and online. The study results indicated that the impact of covid-19 exists to
all students.

CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
The Covid-19 has had a major impact of all with border closures, cancelled flights, and a shift
to online teaching and learning. As a result, many students have decided to either abandon or
defer their plans to study next year, If students stay in their home, many institutions that rely
heavily on the students’ fees will suffer, with potential impacts. Beyond of this, it is important to
consider the personal impact of COVID-19 on students in Magsaysay who may face delays or
obstacles to program completion, employment and/or immigration. Though there are certainly
risks and losses in the short term, the demand for education, and the benefits it offers, are
expected to grow. COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world. Due to the nature of the virus,
specifically how it is transmitted, it has changed human behavior, relationships and lifestyles as
well as the studies of some students have already changed and have a profound impact on the
economic, political, school and cultural views of societies around the world. The pandemic has
changed our outlook on life, especially in our studies, because we cannot face to face
discussions, activities and all school habits. It has also increased poverty, discrimination and
inequalities in many parts of the world, not only by how COVID-19 appears to affect poorer
communities than the rich, but as a result of steps taken by states to control the spread of the
virus, mainly by curtailing freedom of movement through the imposition of community
quarantine, lockdowns and curfews in many parts of the world. Everyone, have also had to
