Write the instructions for readers who have never worked in this medium before. Your audience has a pressing need for your written instructions. Writing the instructions In order to create a set of instructions, you will need to carry out the task yourself as self-consciously as possible. Also, try to talk with other people who know how to perform the task and ask them to comment on common mistakes that inexperienced people make. Preface the instructions with an introduction to the medium. What does the user need to keep in mind while working with this medium. Assuming you’ve done the readings, you’ve got a lot of information to put as simply as possible. Your reader should be able to carry out your instructions with minimal help from other sources .
