Warrior culture in Beowulf, a reflection of early medieval Europe -Beowulf is a look into feudal relationships, an idealized view of how peasants, nobles, and warriors are connected to their king and vice versa. -In this culture the relationship between warriors and their king is very important, rewarding loyalty with gold, weapons, and armor. -Family heritage is important; every character refers to their lineage when introduced. Impact of Rise of Islam on European economy? -A prevailing theory posited by Henry Pirenne explained the Dark Ages as a time of economic depression in Europe caused by the rise of Islam.
