Teagan James Yr 12. Introduction Good morning/afternoon my name is Teagan James and welcome to my touch football training program analysis as my assessment task for PE term 3. Context of learning In the current term of Physical Education we as a class have discussed many important principles and methods of training. We have discussed these principles and methods in application to this terms current practical task, touch football. This multi modal presentation will clearly discuss and identify the principles and methods of training and also discuss and identify the touch football position that I as the athlete believe am best suited to. Using the knowledge I have developed around training principles, methods and program design I will apply this to the provided four week training program. This will then deliver the platform for an insightful analysis and allow for clear recommendations to be made that will improve the program that could help successively advance me in my touch football skills and performance . Purpose of Training Many of us do some sort of training, whether we realise it or not. If we are involved in a sport whether it is social or competitive, going to the gym once or twice a week or maybe even an organized health and physical education class, the odds are we have been exposed to training. We must remember that all athletes regardless of their sex, age, genetics or sport can value from effective training. The term effective is a significant contender, this is because if the training program or sessions don’t utilise the exact training principles or methods improvements won’t occur. The body’s capability to perform certain tasks that a specific sporting event demands may not be able to be met, and in a bad situation, the athlete’s performance may even drop due to exhaustion, injury, or lack of intensity and length in the training sessions. Therefore while training is vital it is equally crucial that correct and effective training is being commenced. A working knowledge of the components of fitness is also important, particularly
