Wolfgang Keller a) What is your analysis of the situation facing Keller when he returns to Kiev? ● Konigsbrau-TAK had good intentions in bringing Brodsky on board to join the company. The company thought a mature presence amongst the largely young group of managers and someone with years of experience would offer balance and a different perspective to the company. However, this may have been an error in judgement because it turns out that Brodsky did not fit with the culture and management objectives that Keller has put in place. He appear to be the odd ball out. While Keller encouraged a collegiate culture environment and hands-on management style, Brodsky turned out to be the complete opposite of that, as he subscribed more to the formal and distant management style, which permeated dealings with his peers and subordinates, as well as customers, competitors, and other constituents. This is a major issue facing Keller because it is the antithesis of his vision for the company, and given Brodsky’s high-ranking position and responsibilities, it is a problem Keller must address imminently when he returns to Kiev.
