It is important that workers have safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, weldinghoods, jackets, aprons, shields, respirators, hard hats, etc. available to them throughout the day.It was observed that combustible waste and materials (primarily oily rags) were not stored in acovered metal receptacle. It was also observed that solvent wastes and/or flammable liquidswere not kept in a fire-resistant, covered container until they were removed from the facility. There is a lack of signage in the area, particularly “NO SMOKING” near the storage area of thegas cylinders. Fuel gas cylinders and oxygen cylinders were not separated neither by distance(20 ft. min.) nor by a fire-resistant barrier (5 ft. tall min. with a 30 min. fire rating min.). There isalso an inadequate number of fire extinguishers. These need to be placed at least within 75 feet
