INDUSTRIALIZATION OF THE CIVIL WAR 2Industrialization after the civil war influenced the American Economic, Society and Politics in such a positive way. This was an incredible time for the growth of Americans. Industrialization after the civil war between 1865 and 1920, there was a significant change in many people’s lives. The development of a new railroad system, the effect of new machinery/technology replaces humans. Economic Growth After the Civil War, however American industry changed dramatically. Machines replaced people in methods of production. Which there was an increase of production capacity in the industry. Also, the International Trade between countries increased drastically. One key finding from analysis of 120 countries between 1950 and 1992 is that civil wars decrease bilateral trade between states by one-third. In addition, the findings indicate that the effects of civil wars on trade are not limited to countries where the civil wars are occurring but also affect joiners. Advertisement encouraged a nation of consumers and created demand for business. FirstAdvertising Agent was thought to be Volney Palmer who was based in Philadelphia. – Basically worked for the newspaper by soliciting orders for advertising and collecting payment from advertisers. - Virtually no laws or regulations to restrict advertisers from saying or doing anything they cared to. - They could lie, cheat, deceive with little to no threat of being punished
