For this week’s documentary review I chose to watch 3D Spies of World War II – A Nova Program. I watched the movie online right on PBS’s website at . I chose to watch this documentary because our text book speaks about the Allied forces intelligence operations quite a bit. What I didn’t realize until I watched the documentary was that this was a completely different intelligence operation than the ones our text discusses. There are many mentions of the deciphering efforts of “Magic” and “Ultra” but not how these photography interpreters at Medmenham altered the course of the war. Overall I think this would be a good film to supplement a text for instructional purpose. The film contains a good amount of first hand information and the intelligence operation at Medmenham and fits in with some of the concepts in the text about how the Allied Forces superior intelligence gave them a big advantage in the war. This film illustrates how the British turned their spitfire planes into a great tactical advantage. The British made some design changes to spitfire to allow it to fly faster, higher, and farther.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
