Abstract: The purpose of this experiment was to examine the uses and limits of different types of laboratory balances. In order to know the difference between the two balances: triple beam balance and electronic balance, objects were weighed on the balances for further examination. The masses of the objects slightly differed due to the level of precision of each balance. Experimental: The items used for this lab included a triple beam balance, an electronic balance, a small beaker, and three unknown objects. First, the small beaker was weighed on the triple bean balance. Next, Item A was placed in the beaker, to find its mass. Once the mass of Item A and the beaker was found, the mass of the beaker was subtracted from the mass of both the item and the beaker in order to find the mass of the item. This was done in the same order for items B and C. After this was done with the triple beam balance, the procedure was repeated using the

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
