PRIVACY AND PUBLIC POLICY 2 Module 6 Essay 1 There are many ethical dilemmas when it comes to testing drugs on human beings. Some of the tests can prove to be potentially life threatening. The new drugs can cause severe reactions that may not be able to be cured afterwards. Scientists have been experimenting on humans for years. Most people that were tested on were the mentally ill, orphans, prisoners, and charity patients. The issue that scientists ran into besides the ethical dilemmas was that there were not enough people to test on. They eventually started doing test without consent. This raised a lot of ethical concern in society and scientists were forced to find new ways of testing. Because the ethical issues caused freely testing on human beings to be stopped, scientists started testing drugs on animals. Scientific tests are still done on a small sample of humans only after the tests have cleared animal testing. These tests are done with complete consent as well.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
