Employees may become resistant to change due tonegative perceptions and lack of adequate information on the necessity of the change being doneand the effect the change may have on them. In addition, employees can resist change because ofold habits and fear of managing fresh ways. The notion that altering the normal course of doingthings could potentially make new ways seem more challenging, which could be difficult for theemployees. Furthermore, employees may resist change due to fear of loss, underachieving, orfailure (OpenStax, 2019). Consequently, the workers might find it simpler to remain where theyare and minimize the chances of losing or failing at something.
