Conversations of the West: Antiquity and Enlightenment December 7, 2005 11:00-12:15 TA Menachem Session 18 Gay Marriage The topic of gay marriage is a widely debated issue, not only in the United States but all over the world. Gay citizens around the world are slowly receiving equal rights for their sexual preference. The United States has been at debate over this topic for quite awhile now. Gay marriage is still illegal in the United States because some people think that the union of marriage should be between a man and woman, not a man and another man or a woman and another woman.
