Sara Green Lesson Plan #1 Subject: Earth and Space Science Grade: 4 Content: Students will identify all types of weather, especially those they experience in their regions. Prerequisites: Students should be able to read a world map and locate a point by using coordinates. They should also be able to recognize and locate the region they live in. Instructional Objectives: The student will define and demonstrate the water cycle involving the processes of evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection. (Knowledge, Application) The student will also identify where water exists on Earth. (Comprehension) Instructional Procedure: Introduction- Introduce students to the weather and climates, include few examples (3- 5min) Middle- Have students create lists in small groups with as many different weather conditions as they can think of, then re-group as a whole class and make a new combined list on the board.
